Sr. Program and Team Manager, Translation Services

5+ years of relevant work experience in localization industry as quality program manager
- 2+ years leading team managers
- Proven experience in building scalable, standardized localization workflows or processes
- Proven experience in customer negotiating and proactive approach to customer’s localization issues
- Expert user of Content and Translation Management Systems, Project Management tools and Reporting platforms
- Expertise in analyzing business data
- Experience in leading global, multifunctional and multicultural teams
- Qualified in leading industry standards, like, Six Sigma or Prince 2 or 4DX or COPC etc
- Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working across time zones with diverse stakeholders.

As a Senior Program and Team Manager, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, strategizing and implementing innovative best in class solutions for Amazon as well as localization industry. You will be working with global cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal and external business partners, influencing localization quality processes and standards. You will lead your team by example in advocating for the customer and seeking innovative solutions that customers couldn’t imagine. You will operate with mínimal guidance in situations where strong judgment is required for solving complex negotiations. Through a data-driven approach, you will identify process improvements and design solutions to scale our localization program through technology and automation.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive localization quality strategy and customer negotiation
- Engage cross-functional teams in defining localization quality strategy for success of international marketplace expansions
- Implement efficient and scalable localization solutions for tenured as well as new Amazon internal customers
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to evangelize localization quality best practices, improve and automate translation processes and tools, and ensure consistent customer experience globally
- Identify process improvements and devise solutions that decrease cost and reduce time-to-market of localized products
- Define and manage localization quality metrics as they relate to the broader business and organizational goals
- Be accountable quality KPIs
- MBA, or Master’s Degree in Project/Program Management or Languages or Linguistics or Translation or content related discipline
- Qualified in leading industry standards, like, Six Sigma or Prince 2 or 4DX or COPC etc
- Advanced Excel skills
- Localization engineering skills across the development lifecycle
