Description Responsible for managing the operational, administrative, and financial aspects of the IT department. The role focuses on technology governance, software licensing, hardware lifecycle, procurement management, vendor contracts, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities Software Licensing & Compliance Manage and maintain company-wide software licence inventory. Ensure licence compliance and manage renewals, audits, and subscriptions. Monitor usage vs entitlement and optimise licensing to control costs. Partner with Finance on cost allocation and forecasting.
IT Asset Management Own hardware and software asset tracking across the full lifecycle. Maintain accurate inventories and manage warranties, repairs, and disposals. Reconcile physical assets with system records using ITAM tools.
Procurement & Vendor Management Source and purchase IT hardware, software, and services. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and SLAs. Support budgeting, approvals, and purchasing documentation. Work closely with Finance and Legal to ensure policy and contract compliance.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Strong organisational and administrative skills Attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, SaaS, Subscriptions) Procurement experience (RFQ, PO, vendor relations) Asset management tools (SDP+, Endpoint Central, Intune, JAMF…) Strong Excel and reporting abilities Understanding of budgets, consumption modelling, and cost optimisation Excellent communication with vendors and internal teams Basic understanding of IT operations (hardware, OS, software deployment)
