JOB DESCRIPTION
The M&A Senior Lead will play a critical role in supporting HBX Group's inorganic growth agenda through the identification, evaluation, negotiation and execution of acquisitions, strategic partnerships, divestments and other corporate development initiatives.
As a senior member of the Investor Relations & Corporate Development team, the role combines strategic thinking, financial expertise, commercial judgement and transaction leadership to create long-term value for the Group.
The M&A Senior Lead will lead complex transactions from origination through closing while acting as a trusted adviser to senior leadership and partnering closely with Legal, Tax, Finance, Strategy and operational business teams.
The role requires a highly analytical and commercially focused professional capable of operating autonomously within a fast-paced, publicly listed environment while maintaining the highest standards of governance, confidentiality and execution excellence.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIESOrigination & Strategic DevelopmentSupport the development and execution of HBX Group's inorganic growth strategy.
Proactively identify acquisition, investment and partnership opportunities aligned to strategic priorities.
Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and develop investment theses for potential transactions.
Conduct market, industry and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and attractive sectors.
Transaction Leadership & ExecutionLead end-to-end execution of acquisitions, divestments and strategic projects from assessment through closing.
Manage valuation, financial modelling, due diligence and transaction structuring activities.
Coordinate internal stakeholders and external advisers throughout the transaction process.
Drive negotiations and support transaction documentation and execution.
Strategic Analysis & Board SupportDevelop high-quality financial analyses and investment recommendations.
Prepare presentations and briefing materials for Senior Management, Executive Committees and the Board.
Assess strategic fit, value creation potential and investment risks.
Support key corporate initiatives and strategic projects beyond M&A activities.
Stakeholder ManagementServe as a trusted partner across Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Strategy and Commercial teams.
Act as a primary point of contact for external advisers including investment banks, consultants and professional services firms.
Build relationships across the organisation to facilitate effective decision-making and transaction execution.
Team LeadershipProvide technical coaching and guidance to junior team members.
Review and challenge analytical outputs to ensure high quality standards.
Contribute to the development of team processes, tools and best practices.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
Skills:
Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, including high proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint and valuation techniques.
Very strong stakeholder managementExcellent written and verbal communication abilities, with strong stakeholder management and the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives.
Advanced project management and organizational ability.
