As a Functional Test Engineer, you will validate products against architectural specs and functional requirements, creating validation environments and executing system-level test plans. You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to isolate defects, validate fixes, and ensure robust, high-quality products. Your work will span hardware and software domains, driving root-cause analysis and delivering repeatable validation results. You will contribute to automation, tooling, and CI flows to improve efficiency and reliability. Responsabilidades
  • System Validation & Debug: validate complex system-level scenarios including performance, power, and functional coverage
  • Root Cause Analysis: own failure analysis from symptoms to resolution across cross-domain interactions
  • Automation & Tooling: develop and optimize validation tools, scripts, and infrastructure to boost efficiency
  • Hardware & Software Debug: use lab equipment and software debuggers to diagnose issues
  • Collaboration: work with Hardware/ASIC Design, Firmware, Architecture, and Software teams to verify fixes
  • Documentation & Reporting: maintain bug tracking and test coverage records using Jira, Git, or similar systems
Requisitos principales
  • 10+ years in system validation, functional testing, ASIC/SoC debug, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, memory subsystems (DDR, PCIe), and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB)
  • Scripting and automation in Python, LabView, or Ladder Logic
  • C/C++ knowledge for firmware or driver debugging
  • Experience with version control and bug tracking tools (Git, Jira, Bugzilla)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Hands-on ASIC or SoC bring-up and post-silicon validation
  • Exposure to CI pipelines and automated validation frameworks
  • Experience in highly cross-functional, global engineering teams
  • Ability to create repeatable debug playbooks and clear documentation
