The Head of Applications comprehensively owns, leads, and manages SCM & OT applications end to end, is the technology partner to the business for this domain and achieves our business goals by enabling business capabilities through state-of-the-art applications. The Head of Applications SCM & OT focuses on consulting business owners, providing best service levels for daily operations, and ensuring an end-to-end optimized, cost-efficient, and secure application landscape.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Lead and manage SCM & OT Apps globally
  2. Act as Technology partner to the business for SCM & OT applications to optimize process and business results
  3. Manage all required service providers and ensure SLA’s
  4. Act as the domain architect and pro-actively look for optimization potential
  5. Decide the best technological solution for business capabilities and requirements
  6. Manage budget and continuously review for cost productivity
  7. Collaborate with all relevant business and IT functions, and support other functions when required
  8. Act as IT counterpart for global process and business owners, and deal with escalations for issues in the SCM & OT domain
  9. Pro-actively review the application landscape end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological opportunities and risks
  10. Lead the team to deliver highest quality results
  11. Ensure secure application development and collaborate closely with Information Security to identify and manage risks
  12. Drive change in the organization and deliver high quality results fast

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business informatics or similar education
  2. Master’s degree in business informatics or similar preferred
  3. Min. 5+ years’ experience in Application and Process management
  4. Min. 2+ years´ Operational SCM & OT experience
  5. Excellent communication skills in English (and German preferred)
  6. Experience with agile project methodologies
