**SITA FOR AIRCRAFT - Head of Applications Portfolio**

**_ ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:_**- Reporting to the VP Product Management, the Head of Applications Portfolio is overall responsible for the following key activities:
- Ensuring the product portfolio meets the needs of our current and future customers, as well as the evolution and retirement of products in line with market requirements and the global SITA FOR AIRCRAFT strategy.
- The Applications portfolio consists of multiple B2B SAAS solutions designed for airlines to improve their flight operations. Whether that be in the air or on the ground. The role is heavily based on the Flight Operations environment of an airline. As well as being very focused on innovation and evolution, there is a grounding in regulation, meaning this role requires a strong understanding of the current status of the Flight Ops IT industry and what is driving it.- More information on the SITA FOR AIRCRAFT products can be found here.**_ _**

**_WHAT YOU WILL DO:_**

**Portfolio Strategy**
- Lead the development and execution of a vision and a strategy for the portfolio in line with SITA FOR AIRCRAFT's strategy long-term plan.
- Articulate and document the portfolio vision and define the business objectives to achieve this vision.
- Define the target markets and the strategy associated.
- Ensure that each product contributes to the overall portfolio value proposition.
- Drive portfolio strategy to build sustainable growth, revenue, and margins.

**Portfolio Life Cycle Management (from Innovation to Go-to-Market to Retirement)**
- Lead the overall innovation strategy for the portfolio.
- Ensure that the Product Managers identify new opportunities and drive the Roadmap Process by gathering customers’ needs, information on the competitive landscape, and market trends.
- Lead/coach Product Managers in the Product Development process to ensure that key milestones are met on time.
- Collaborate with other functions, such as engineering, commercial, and operations, to shape the Portfolio of products and ensure the timely/cost-effective and quality delivery of product developments and product performance.
- Manage and track portfolio and individual product P&L, revenue, new business, and profitability including competitive pricing of the portfolio in the marketplace to achieve desired sales volumes/optimized profit.

**Portfolio Marketing/Value Proposition/Market Intelligence**
- Build and maintain the portfolio value proposition and individual value proposition of each product and service component.
- Ensure that the relevant material (e.g., Product description, boilerplates) is available and up to date during the lifetime of the products to fit/support the value proposition.
- Leverage Marketing resources to give visibility to the Portfolio in the Market (e.g., campaigns, industry events )
- Participate in Customer Advisory Boards, user groups, exhibitions, and other customer forums to develop customer relationships and influence market thinking.
- Be a thought leader and demonstrate know-how by speaking in exhibitions and webinars.

**Sales/Channel Strategy and Support**
- Ensure that appropriate sales focus is given to individual products fitting the overall portfolio strategy.
- Ensure that the Sales teams have a good understanding of the product positioning.
- Establish and implement an effective 'go to market' strategy for the portfolio of products, including an agreed and executed sales and marketing plan.
- Contribute to bid management activities and pre-sales customer interactions.

**Partnership Management**
- Define partner strategy.
- Drive engagement with top partners, ensuring win-win relationship.
- Develop and manage partnerships and strategic supplier relationships.

**People Management**
- Manage the performance of the team of Product Managers and their objectives.
- Based on organization design and needs, identify, recruit, performance manage, train, and develop the right people as required via regular coaching and feedback to build the strongest possible Product Management team.
- Ensure that senior-level positions have qualified successors.
- Ensure that all team members understand the planning elements, the strategy, and the prioritization of portfolio investments.

**Qualifications**:
**_EXPERIENCE:_**
- At least a master's degree level or equivalent in a technical, business, or marketing discipline, an MBA is a plus.
- More than 10 years of relevant business experience in a high-tech, global company
- 5+ years’ experience managing a portfolio of enterprise SaaS products.
- 5+ years of business experience in managing people.
- Extensive knowledge of Flight Operations in the cockpit (Electronic Flight Bag - EFB) and on the ground (Operations Control Centre - OCC)
