Where this position fits-into the team: Part of the Unilever Legal Powerhouse Part of the Supply Chain, Business Services, Digital & Technology Legal Team Integral part of the Unilever's Legal Function - a global operation consisting of approximately 500 lawyers and specialists What you will do from day-to-day: Lead our Spanish Supply Chain, Business Services, Digital & Technology Legal Cell The successful candidate is accountable to led the day-to-day delivery of our Supply Chain, Business Services, Digital & Technology Legal Cell within the Barcelona Powerhouse, which currently consist of 4 team members. Lead our digital contracting journey Drive the implementation and optimisation of digital contracting tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing legal and operational systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline contract workflows, reduce turnaround times, and enhance user experience across the contract lifecycle. Monitor performance metrics and user adoption, using data insights to continuously improve processes and identify opportunities for automation. Champion change management and training initiatives, equipping stakeholders with the knowledge and support needed to embrace digital contracting solutions Contract review and negotiation To support Supply Chain, Business Services, Digital & Technology team with the review, negotiation, and drafting of bespoke or push-back clauses within, terms and conditions with 3rd party suppliers with whom Unilever business, by both influencing them to accept our own standard templates or, alternatively, negotiating the use of their templates, with changes that suit Unilever's interests. To ensure there are adequate terms and conditions and schedules included in the supplier contracts so that the contract risk profile of 3rd party suppliers providing or supporting Unilever's operations is adequately managed and addressed To support the fact-gathering and timeline creation processes for commercial contract disputes and claims, made against or to be made by, Unilever, and support the identification of likely relevant contract terms, for further analysis by claims subject matter experts. To support Supply Chain, Business Services, Digital & Technology team's projects. Person specification: A senior qualified lawyer with minimum of 7 years PQE, preferably with international clients. Experience of delivering legal services either in an in-house or outsourced environment. Savy in Legal AI tools, and digital contracting. An understanding and commitment to consistency and process. Unswerving and evidenced customer focus. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish language. Team player with a positive attitude and growth mindset, particularly in digital /AI activation spaces. An outcome-based attitude. Experience in recruiting, developing and motivating a team. A high level of emotional intelligence, particularly the ability to manage escalations from clients and team members in an effective manner. Sensitivity to working with different cultures. An eye for innovation and driving efficiency. Team player with a positive attitude and growth mindset, particularly in digital / AI activation spaces. Key skills: Savy in Legal AI tools, and digital contracting. Ability to work under pressure and across multiple time zones. Excellent spoken and written English. Strong leadership skills, flexible in approach, a good and careful listener. Has a range of experience of supporting procurement/buying teams. Excellent presentation and persuasion skills. Being able to work and respond positively in a client-led culture. Adaptable and open to change; ability to pivot rapidly in response to changing requirements.
