Business Context and Job Profile:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Responsible Business team of Unilever to co-ordinate strategic projects related to Unilever’s Responsible Sourcing programme, within the framework of the Unilever Partner Policy (RPP).

The Responsible Partner Policy (RPP) sets out the expectations for businesses that want to have a commercial relationship with Unilever. The policy outlines our commitment to responsible business with respect for human rights as its foundation, particularly in the context of modern-day challenges for society and our planet.

The Responsible Partner Policy is managed by a tri-partite leadership between Business Integrity (BI), Global Sustainability Team (GST) and Procurement The Responsible Business Assistant Manager - Strategic projects reports to the Head of Responsible Business. The Responsible Business team is part of Business Integrity within the Legal Function and is organised within the Unilever Corporate Centre in the new Compass Organisation of Unilever.

The Responsible Business Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading the strategic projects in areas of Human Rights / Responsible Business partnering with the Procurement, Supplier Operations and Global Sustainability team

Key Accountabilities:
The role in Barcelona will support the Head of Responsible Business with the main responsibilities of:
o End to end delivery of projects relating to Unilever’s external Living Wage commitment

o Support implementation of RPP with new supplier mergers and acquisitions o Playbook design to guide procurement in implementation of RPP strategies

o Business partnering with Procurement, Supplier Operations and Global Sustainability teams

Professional Skills:

- Excellent time management, analytical and organisational skills. Able to manage different projects concurrently; deliver effective and consistent implementation.
- Stakeholder engagement.
- Strong inter-personal skills and a good team player. Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to create effective and new ways of working.
- Excellent communication and writing skills enabling a clear presentation of issues and solutions

Experience Required:
ESSENTIAL
- Experience in Sustainability or Responsible Sourcing Compliance programs and Corporate Social Responsibility, preferably for large organizations.
- Subject matter expertise in Human Rights, Labour Rights, Health & Safety will be required. Good understanding of audit processes.

PREFERRED:

- University degree - preferably in a related field.
- Multi language capabilities a plus, fluent spoken and written English required
- Experience working in a global and connected team
