About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Physics Teacher to join our ambitious Upper School team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 to 5 and play a key role in preparing students for IGCSE and A-Level examinations. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and rigorous Physics and Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3–5. Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE and A-Level Physics examinations, incorporating practical work, theoretical understanding, and application-based learning. Support interdisciplinary initiatives and help foster a strong culture of scientific enquiry across the school. Collaborate with colleagues within the Science Faculty and across other departments to promote STEAM projects, academic excellence, and whole-school engagement with key scientific events, awareness days and enrichment initiatives. Maintain high standards of classroom management, academic challenge, and student wellbeing. Make effective use of school laboratories and specialist resources to deliver hands-on learning experiences. Contribute to the development of the faculty’s curriculum, schemes of work, and assessment strategies. Qualifications and Experience A relevant degree in Physics or a related Science subject. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. Experience teaching Physics to IGCSE and A-Level (or equivalent international curricula). Strong pedagogical knowledge and a passion for subject-based enrichment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students of all abilities. Experience in international or bilingual settings is an advantage but not essential.
