Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Manager to oversee and manage the implementation of BIM processes and technologies within our organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating collaboration among different departments involved in the design, construction, and operation of industrial projects.

About the Role

As a BIM Manager, you will assume a dual role within the organization, serving as both the BIM coordinator on projects and the owner of the standard operating procedure (SOP) for BIM. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Management: Taking on the role of Project Manager for small projects or Procurement Manager for medium to large projects, you will develop procurement strategies aligned with project goals and objectives.
  • Procurement: Identifying potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and selecting the most suitable vendors for the project. You will also be responsible for maintaining an IPS supplier database and contract database.
  • Contracting: Designing and implementing procurement processes, including the issuance of Requests for Interests (RFIs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Questions and Answers (Q&A), Bid comparisons, and Contract Awarding.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
  • Reporting: Overseeing and tracking procurement processes, harmonizing scopes, and systematically reporting progress and risks to project management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Expertise and knowledge in BIM processes and technologies.
  • Strong consultation and guidance skills to advise project managers, team members, clients, or other individuals.
  • Research and analysis skills to stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and advancements in BIM.
  • Content development skills to create training materials, manuals, technical documentation, whitepapers, or educational resources.
  • Continuous learning and improvement skills to stay abreast of changes and advancements in BIM.
