**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our Payroll team in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team and overseeing all aspects of payroll operations, including:
- Managing company payments and reviewing payroll changes
- Compiling payroll summaries for management review
- Providing support for financial strategies and improving payroll systems
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Payroll Manager, you will:
- Manage a team responsible for European payroll processes, including approving transactions and reviewing exemptions
- Change individual payrolls as stipulated by management, such as tax deductions or salary adjustments
- Maintain payroll systems and report any issues to management
- Supervise personnel involved in payroll and ensure adherence to best financial practices
- Audit payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with local tax laws
- Create monthly and annual payroll reports for management review
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, human resource management, or a related field
- 4-5 years of experience in payroll in European countries
- Excellent knowledge of payroll and HR software, such as ADP and Workday
- Familiarity with labor legislation and tax laws
- Ability to work with employee-sensitive information
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with team members
