Europe Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced Europe Payroll Manager to join our financial department in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll operations, including overseeing company payments, reviewing payroll changes, and compiling payroll summaries for management review.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team responsible for all aspects of the European payroll process, including approving transactions and reviewing exemptions.
- Implement individual payrolls as stipulated by management, including tax deductions or salary adjustments.
- Maintain payroll systems and report any issues to management.
- Supervise personnel involved in payroll and ensure adherence to best financial practices.
- Audit payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with local tax laws.
- Prepare monthly and annual payroll reports for management review.
- Ensure all payroll systems comply with local tax laws and regulations.
- Address payroll-related queries or questions from employees.
- Support the close and external audit process, as needed.
- Manage and evaluate external payroll vendors and other outsourced service providers.
- Collaborate with our HR, Tax, and Finance teams on process improvements and management of inputs and outputs.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to achieve business results.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, human resource management, or a related field.
- 4-5 years' experience in payroll in European countries.
- Excellent knowledge of payroll and HR software, including ADP and Workday.
- Familiarity with labor legislation and tax laws.
- Ability to work with sensitive employee information.
- Solid knowledge of data entry management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
- International experience is a plus.
