**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Area Manager to lead our Papermaking Projects at Essity. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering best-in-class technology solutions that meet our business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement technology strategies that align with our business goals and objectives.
- Manage technology solutions in our assigned area and projects across Europe, working closely with manufacturing sites, product developers, and the papermaking technology team.
- Deliver robust and cost-efficient process and equipment solutions that meet strict safety, quality, financial, and scheduling requirements.
- Assist throughout the project lifecycle, from scope definition to commissioning, ensuring regular adjustments align with our business strategy.
- Provide input for capital expenditure requests and be accountable for the entire papermaking technology scope, including equipment, installation, and startup support.
- Conduct feasibility studies and develop, implement, and improve technology standards to secure manufacturability aspects and reduce manufacturing complexity.
- Identify, mitigate, and eliminate risks during project phases, and manage intellectual property rights between Essity and machine suppliers.
- Travel approximately 30% of the time to support projects implemented across Europe.
**Requirements**
- At least 5 years of experience in the Paper Industry as a Process Engineer, Project Manager, or similar roles.
- Preferably hold a University degree in chemical, mechanical, or papermaking engineering.
- Possess commercial and financial knowledge to support capital expenditure review processes.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills with the ability to facilitate and influence.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, strong business acumen, and analytical skills.
- Experience in working with multi-functional international teams in challenging environments.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with quality assurance methods (e.g., Six Sigma, Reliability Engineering) and external supplier relations.
