Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Power System Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and integrating simulation models for wind turbines and wind farms. Your expertise in power system engineering, transmission and distribution networks, and power electronics will be essential in driving our mission forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate simulation models for wind turbines and wind farms using PSCAD and other relevant tools.
- Test and analyze model performance, providing inputs to other departments as needed.
- Assess model performance against wind turbine capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop automation tools to run simulations and create reports automatically.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of simulation models into our overall system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in power system engineering, with a focus on wind turbine simulation and grid connection.
- Expertise in PSCAD, Fortran, C programming, MATLAB, and Simulink.
- Strong understanding of power system studies, including transient stability, electromagnetic transients simulation, and small signal stability analysis.
- Experience with wind turbine technologies, including type-3 and type-4 systems.
