About the Role
Nordex Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Pitch System Engineer to join our global Engineering team. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for the development and analysis of our electrical pitch system, ensuring its safe and efficient operation.
Your Tasks
Key responsibilities include specifying, performing, and evaluating tests for the electrical pitch system at component, system, and turbine levels. You will also analyze field data to verify the correct behavior of the electrical pitch system, program and parametrize the pitch converter according to aligned functional specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to discuss pitch system requirements and put them together in a technical specification. Additionally, you will review proposed technical solutions with external suppliers, create relevant technical documentation, and ensure the system meets the required standards.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will have a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a similar background, preferably in the field of automation, power electronics, and/or electrical drives. Advanced user skills in MATLAB/Simulink are essential, and expertise in a programming language like CoDeSys and/or Python is a plus. Experience in data analysis will be advantageous. You will need to be fluent in English, both spoken and written, and Spanish and/or German will be helpful. A well-structured and autonomous way of working, a solution-oriented mindset, accuracy, and efficiency are also required. Intercultural understanding and the ability to thrive in a collaborative global team environment are essential.
