At Siemens Gamesa, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the energy transition. We're seeking a talented Power System and Converter Control Engineer to join our Grid Connection department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Wind Turbine and/or Wind Farms Regulator electrical simulation models in Electromagnetic Transient models with specific features.
  • Develop converter control algorithms for grid features.
  • Integrate DLLs or automatically generated code.
  • Test model performance and analyze results.
  • Provide inputs to other departments.
  • Assess model performance against WTG capabilities.
  • Modeling issues analysis.
Requirements:
  • Power System engineering: Transmission and distribution networks, Grid elements, Power electronics, Electrical machines, Harmonics analysis.
  • Converter Control engineering: Power electronic converter design and control, Control theory and application, Power electronic drives, Vector current control, Pulse Width Modulation, Grid Forming control systems, Real-time embedded control and implementation.
  • Power System studies: Transient stability, Electromagnetic transients simulation, Dynamic studies, Simulation and modeling of control and electrical systems.
  • Software skills: PSCAD, Fortran, C programming, MATLAB, Simulink, RSCAD.
