Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement electrical simulation models for wind turbines and wind farms using Electromagnetic Transient models.
- Design and develop converter control algorithms for grid features, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and analyze model performance, providing valuable insights for improvement.
- Assess model performance against wind turbine capabilities, identifying areas for optimization.
- Document activities, including design reports, validation reports, and user manuals, to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices.
- 3+ years of experience in developing PSCAD models or converter control algorithms, with a strong background in grid connection and grid code requirements.
- Proficiency in Fortran compilers, compatibility issues, and encryption techniques, as well as knowledge of PSCAD and its applications.
- Strong understanding of power electronics, electrical machines, harmonics analysis, transient stability, and electromagnetic transients simulation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
