Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team at WPP. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for analysing financial information, ensuring its integrity, accuracy and consistency, and preparing general accounting entries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse items and detect possible recording errors on the General Accounting Plan
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards
  • Analysis of financial information, guaranteeing its integrity, accuracy and consistency (balance sheet, profit and loss accounts, customer and supplier aging, management ratios)
  • Reporting: review and reconciliation of information, loading of data into the reporting platform in compliance with a standardised structure for the whole Group
  • Analysis of variations and investigation of their origin
  • Perform reconciliations between accounting and auxiliary modules, accounting reconciliations of customers and suppliers and inter-company balances (detecting differences and following up on them)
  • Prepare general accounting entries: expenses and income provisions, sales adjustments, tax regularisation, additions and removals of PPE, etc
  • Prepare specific reports based on data obtained from the different financial systems for presentation to management
  • Make recommendations focused on optimising management, improving and simplifying procedures

Requirements:

  • International financial accounting or audit experience
  • Experience in statutory auditing and knowledge of SOX controls
  • Knowledge of the General Accounting plan in the Netherlands
  • Advanced Excel level
  • Languages: English B2/C1 and fluent in Dutch
