Financial Accountant Job Description

Ebury, a leading FinTech firm, is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join its team in Madrid. As a key member of the Finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and variances.
  • Manage subsidiary audits, coordinating with auditors and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Participate in accounting functions, performing calculations and bookings as part of the month-end close process.
  • Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets, automating manual tasks and improving financial reporting frameworks.
Requirements:
  • Finance professional with at least 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably with Big 4 experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with IFRS knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, with Spanish a plus.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
