Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team at 100 LCMC Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to new mothers and their babies.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Comprehensive Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team Members: Work closely with our multi-disciplinary care team to coordinate patient care activities, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain clear communication.
- Implement Infection Control Practices: Ensure a safe environment for patients and others by implementing infection control practices and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in Performance Improvement Initiatives: Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives, quality improvement activities, and review/audit processes to enhance patient care and education.
- Provide Education and Support: Empower new mothers to make informed decisions about their care and provide education on breastfeeding, parenting, and other relevant topics.
- Current Nursing License: Possess a current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Hold current American Heart Association BLS certification and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
