100 Lcmc Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Education Specialist - Critical Care to join our team. As a key member of our clinical education department, you will be responsible for coordinating, developing, and implementing clinical education programs in critical care areas.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education programs in critical care areas.
- Serve as a resource to nursing staff, nursing students, and other healthcare personnel in the acquisition of knowledge and skills related to nursing competency and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with the Department of Nursing Education & Professional Development and unit department director/manager to oversee clinical training and patient safety initiatives in critical care areas.
- Model excellence in nursing practice through the utilization of advanced concepts in assessments, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of perceived, actual, or potential problems that occur in a variety of patient populations.
- Assist new graduates and new hires during orientation to critical care areas and provide oversight of all new clinical practices.
- Reinforce current practices and processes with clinicians in critical care areas.
- Collaborate with clinical staff nurses, unit directors/managers, Department of Nursing Education & Professional Development, and other members of the healthcare team to assure clinician performance meets established evidence-based standards.
- Demonstrate effective leadership by acting with vision and purpose, fostering teamwork, and communicating effectively and openly.
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in critical care areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
