Job Summary

LCMC Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Same Day Surgery team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care before and after surgery, including reviewing patient history, setting up IVs, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and meet the overall needs of patient care.
  • Perform required clinical documentation and pre- and post-operative assessments.
  • Monitor patients after surgery for pain and/or complications and the surgery site for healing or infection.
  • Perform CPR or other emergency measures if required.

Requirements

  • Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
  • 2 years RN flex experience.
