About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Edge Site Reliability Engineer to join our Holcim EMEA Digital Center team. As a key member of our digital infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reduce toil.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize system reliability and efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure prompt resolution of production issues.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge base articles to support team members and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with AWS, including experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and CircleCI.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and ELK.
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS.
