Job Title: AWS Edge Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Edge Site Reliability Engineer to join our Holcim EMEA Digital Center team. As a key member of our digital infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve system issues
  • Implement automation and scripting to improve efficiency and reduce toil
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 system availability

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a focus on AWS
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including scalability, availability, and security
  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or higher
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
