Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Strategic Sourcing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain of strategic commodities across categories, working closely with supplier partners, engineering, product, and operations teams to deliver Exponent's vision of enabling rapid charging for electric vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with supplier partners to ensure cost savings, quality delivery, and localisation.
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and on-board suppliers in tandem with new product development and capital expenditures.
- Drive sourcing projects and build process capabilities with partners across standard and built-to-print parts.
- Benchmark costs and quality for parts, identify suppliers, process capabilities, or technologies that drive productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will require relevant experience in the sourcing domain, structured problem-solving skills, a customer-first attitude, and data-driven decision-making abilities. Empathy towards all customers and a positive attitude towards problem-solving are essential.
