Threat Mitigation Specialist

A comprehensive understanding of security and loss prevention is essential to excel in this role, ensuring operational continuity for Amazon's expansive network. As a Threat Mitigation Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering security as a service across multiple business units within a dedicated geographical area.

• Support Business Continuity: Contribute to emergency planning, identifying vulnerabilities, and defining mitigating actions to safeguard people and assets.
• Risk Management: Serve as a point of contact, coordinating with local management and external parties on all security-related matters.
• Physical Security Audits: Perform regular audits, investigate policy violations, and analyze data reports to identify vulnerabilities.

1. Conduct regular physical security audits to assess compliance with Amazon global security standards.
2. Investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events, collecting information through monitoring systems, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews.
3. Collaborate with subject matter experts and external suppliers to maintain the health status of systems and functionality.
4. Identify initiatives improving physical security infrastructure and contribute to budgetary planning.
5. Interact with external security service providers to ensure high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience.
6. Deliver loss prevention education and awareness programs to other teams across all management levels.
7. Manage the implementation of the Security and Loss Prevention plan.

Sitting within the Global Security Operations organisation, Security and Loss Prevention supports Amazon's business targets by effectively protecting against relevant threats and managing security and loss prevention risks that could put associates and customers under jeopardy. The salary range for this position is approximately $95,000-$140,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
