Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Nanomedicine

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Research Group. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of self-propelled nanobots for translational approaches in biomedicine.
Key Responsibilities- Design, synthesis, and characterization of inorganic and organic nanocarriers for drug delivery systems.
- Optimize nanoparticle drug loading processes to develop nanobots as active smart drug delivery systems.
- Contribute to the development of new combinations of nanoparticles and therapeutic agents for biomedicine.
- Evaluate the therapeutic effect and mechanism of action of drug-loaded nanobots in various biological environments.
- Guide and support bachelor, master, and PhD students in their research projects.
- Collaborate with the Group Leader in funding acquisition and project development.
- PhD in pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, nanomedicine, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in nanoparticle synthesis, functionalization, and characterization.
- Knowledge of common characterization techniques, such as NMR, FTIR, DLS, Z-potential, GPC, HPLC chromatography, SEM, TEM, AFM, and spectroscopy equipment.
- Excellent publication record in nanomaterials, nanoparticles, nanomedicine, and related fields.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
- A 12-month full-time contract.
