We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST). The successful candidate will be part of our Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Research Group, working on the development of self-propelled nanobots for translational approaches within biomedicine.
Main Responsibilities- Nanoparticle Synthesis and Functionalization: Design, synthesis, and functionalization of inorganic and organic nanocarriers for drug delivery applications.
- Drug Loading and Characterization: Optimization of nanoparticle drug loading process and characterization of drug-loaded nanobots using various techniques.
- Research and Development: Contribution to the development of new combinations of nanoparticles and therapeutic agents for use as nanobots in biomedicine.
- Team Collaboration: Guide bachelor, master, and PhD students, and support the Group Leader in funding acquisition and project development.
- Intellectual Property: Actively work on the development of new ideas and generation of intellectual property.
- PhD in Nanomedicine or Related Field: A PhD in pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, nanomedicine, biochemistry, or a related field is required.
- Experience in Nanoparticle Synthesis: Experience in nanoparticle synthesis and functionalization of biocompatible and biodegradable inorganic and organic nanocarriers is essential.
- Drug Loading and Characterization: Experience in drug loading and characterization of drug-loaded nanobots using various techniques is required.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a high level of English proficiency.
- Publication Record: A strong publication record in the fields of nanomaterials, nanoparticles, nanomedicine, and related fields is expected.
- Full-time Contract: A full-time contract for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
