About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Amazon, an inclusive employer and a member of myGwork – the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community. As a Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Manager within the Amazon Fulfilment Centre (FC), you will play a key role in driving improvements on-site and at a regional level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage aspects of output in your area, including people management, metrics, productivity targets, and process improvements.
  • Supervise staff to ensure delivery of objectives and proactively engage in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites.
  • Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health & safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
  • Review and audit arrangements for health & safety management and continuously improve these arrangements where appropriate.
  • Provide strategies to plan and organise work systems to reduce health & safety risks and recommend suitable adaptations to plant, machinery, and processes.
  • Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for H&S statistics and provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
  • Support business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced FC environment.
  • Drive behavioural culture change programme across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
  • Implement and review company global safety policies ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met.
