Senior Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Operations Management team, you will play a critical role in driving improvements in safety, quality, and productivity across our Fulfilment Centres.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the health and safety function at the Fulfilment Centre, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.
- Proactively engage in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites.
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health and safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
- Review and audit arrangements for health and safety management and continuously improve these arrangements where appropriate.
- Provide strategies to plan and organise work systems to reduce health and safety risks and recommend suitable adaptations to plant, machinery, and processes.
- Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for HS statistics.
- Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
- Support business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced FC environment.
- Drive behavioural culture change programme across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
- Implement and review of company global safety policies ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in health and safety management. You will have a degree-level qualification in a relevant field and relevant experience managing a team. You will also have advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and the local language.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies, qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability, and relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
