About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial and Privacy Lawyer to join our in-house legal team at Zoe. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business growth and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and strengthen our legal privacy program, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with data protection laws.
  • Provide trusted advice on new products, marketing campaigns, and nutrition research, ensuring that all commercial and legal aspects are thoroughly considered.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with partners, collaborators, and suppliers, ensuring that our interests are protected.
  • Provide business-as-usual legal advice and support to all parts of the organization, addressing consumer and regulatory issues, brand protection, advertising, and other matters.
  • Monitor legal developments and interpret them for the business, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external privacy policies, procedures, and guidance, ensuring that our team is equipped to handle complex legal matters.
  • Identify and manage legal operations initiatives, driving process improvements and efficiency gains.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4-6 years' post-qualification experience in commercial, privacy, and technology matters.
  • Qualified to practice as a solicitor in England.
  • In-house experience in a tech or start-up business, with a strong understanding of data protection and commercial law.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Eagerness to upskill in new areas of law and legal practice.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, handling multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal advice and provide practical solutions.
  • Passion for nutrition, health, and wellness.
