Ebury, a leading FinTech firm, is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer to join its dynamic Legal Department. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert legal advice to stakeholders across the UK and overseas, driving Ebury's growth and development on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities- Structuring and executing strategic initiatives, including fundraising, M&A activity, and transfers of significant equity stakes in Ebury Group companies.
- Advising on corporate structuring matters, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel, and Legal Director to maintain and develop Ebury's corporate structure, considering regulatory, tax, and other relevant factors.
- Assisting with managing communications with investors, responding to shareholder queries, and supporting General Counsel and Company Secretary to uphold best-in-class governance standards across the Ebury Group.
- Reviewing commercial agreements and updating/developing client terms and conditions and templates.
- Working with the front office, corporate development, product, and other departments to resolve day-to-day queries.
- Representing Ebury in interactions with clients, counterparties, banking partners, industry bodies, and other third parties.
- Contributing to the design and implementation of new products and expansion into new markets.
- Preparing playbooks, procedures, and self-service material and participating in the provision of relevant training and awareness programs.
- Fluency in English (C1).
- A proactive mindset and ability to communicate effectively in practical terms with stakeholders at all levels of the group.
- At least 2-3 years of professional corporate M&A experience, either in private practice or in-house, practicing as a qualified lawyer.
- A genuine enthusiasm for engaging with different areas of law, reflecting a commitment to developing as a well-rounded generalist lawyer.
- An ability to prioritize and manage a wide range of competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with support from other team members and external advisers where necessary.
