The Legal Department at Ebury
The Legal Department is a critical component of the Ebury Group, providing front-line advice on legal, regulatory, and governance matters that drive the company's growth. We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven corporate lawyer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with strategic corporate matters, including structuring and executing initiatives such as fundraising, M&A activity, and transfers of significant equity stakes in Ebury Group companies.
- Advise on corporate structuring matters, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel, and Legal Director to maintain and develop Ebury's corporate structure, considering regulatory, tax, and other relevant factors.
- Manage communications with investors, respond to shareholder queries, and support General Counsel and Company Secretary in upholding best-in-class governance standards across the Ebury Group.
- Review commercial agreements, update/develop client terms and conditions, and templates.
- Collaborate with the front office, corporate development, product, and other departments to resolve day-to-day queries.
- Represent Ebury in interactions with clients, counterparties, banking partners, industry bodies, and other third parties.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and expansion into new markets.
- Prepare playbooks, procedures, and self-service material, and participate in the provision of relevant training and awareness programs.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced corporate lawyer who is passionate about working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing company. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
