Our Team
Our Maritime Transportation and Visibility unit supports BASF's shared service organization and operating divisions, enabling efficient transportation management operations. Our solution space includes liner shipment, air transportation, and shipment tracking & tracing. As a member of our product team, you will be responsible for consulting, designing, delivering, and running state-of-the-art digital solutions using SAP-based and cloud-based technical environments.
Responsibilities
As a SAP TM Technical Consultant, your main tasks will be:
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to understand business requirements and create user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work with your BASF team and contractors to define and implement development tasks using modern SAP development technologies, such as ABAP OO, BOPF, and design and coding best practices to build high-quality components and solutions.
- Deploy and test implemented solutions, present and explain work results, support validation testing, and conduct user trainings.
- Conduct research, design, prototyping, and other exploration activities.
- Live and support agile methodology (process, meetings, and tools).
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly skilled SAP TM Technical Consultant with a bachelor's or master's degree in relevant business or IT studies and at least 5 years of experience in an SAP (technical) consulting role. You should have a high level of technical expertise in ABAP, ABAP OO, BOPF, FPM, FIORI, and CDS Views, as well as technical consulting experience in SAP S/4 Transportation Management. Additionally, you should possess passion for entrepreneurship, empathy, perseverance, result-oriented mindset, and commitment. You should also have excellent collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-solving skills, as well as a growth mindset, adaptability, flexibility, and interest in learning. Experience working in agile teams with a DevOps mindset is a plus.
