Job Description:We are seeking a Corporate Lawyer to join our Energy business unit, reporting to the Head of Corporate Legal Affairs. The position is located in Madrid.
Key Responsibilities:- Support all corporate aspects and handle secretariat and corporate compliance of all legal entities of the business unit.
- Be involved in compliance policy implementation and oversee good governance practices.
- Actively participate in supporting projects with a focus on corporate aspects, such as Joint Venture Agreements.
- Draft and review agreements and contracts of different nature, mainly services agreements and intercompany finance facilities.
- Perform legal analysis of investment, divestment, or bid proposals and draft the corresponding legal report.
- Be responsible for the incorporation of new companies and other corporate operations.
- Be responsible for the granting and proper follow-up of Power of Attorney's.
- Provide legal support to other departments of the business unit.
- Support trademarks and other IP rights in coordination with external specialized advisors.
- University degree in Law.
- Bilingual/Native level of English.
- Previous experience with anglo-saxon law system.
- 4+ years of experience in a first-tier law firm or as an in-house lawyer.
- Experience mainly in corporate and civil law as well as corporate housekeeping functions.
- Effectively manage tasks and deadlines independently.
- Ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure.
- Superior interpersonal communication, decision-making, project management, and negotiating skills.
- Computer proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
