About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join our team at Motork, a leading sales and marketing technology company in Europe. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a scrum team of 3-4 engineers and supporting them in their day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a scrum team of 3-4 engineers, providing guidance and support in their daily work
  • Liaise with architects and senior engineers to remove blockers and ensure smooth project execution
  • Collaborate with product owners and developers to deliver value incrementally and continuously
  • Understand business needs and ensure that engineering efforts are aligned with company objectives
  • Advocate for best practices and a value-driven mindset among engineers and product managers
  • Liaise with QA engineers to ensure thorough testing of user stories
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our engineering processes and practices
  • Communicate technical concepts and ideas to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Requirements
  • Previous significant experience in a software engineering role, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Deep knowledge of Lean practices, such as Kanban and Kaizen
  • Strong bias for action and customer-centric approach
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment, with a focus on Continuous Integration and Delivery
  • Proven track record of people management, with a focus on developing and growing team members
  • Extensive expertise in Object-Oriented Programming in a Java 1.8 or later environment
  • Strong software engineering skills, with a focus on software design and testing
  • Experience with third-party system integration and asynchronous jobs
  • Knowledge of unit and functional testing, with experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
