Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Smartcat is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a pivotal role in building and shaping our financial planning and analysis function from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity to create and refine processes that directly influence our strategic and operational decision-making. You will work closely with our Executive team and Finance team to drive the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance FPA processes, systems, and tools to support strategic and operational planning
  • Oversee the month-end close process from an FPA perspective, including data gathering, posting revenue/cost accruals, conducting variance analysis, and presenting key results to the Executive team
  • Drive the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning processes in collaboration with the Executive team and Finance team
  • Provide analytical support to both the Finance team and other business stakeholders, addressing ad hoc requests and delivering actionable insights
  • Collaborate closely with the Data team to build finance KPIs infrastructure for better decision-making
  • Manage and mentor a small team of financial analysts, prioritizing workloads and ensuring the smooth execution of financial processes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in management accounting and financial analysis
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, management accounting, and budgeting processes
