Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Automation Specialist to join our team. As a Data Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for the automation of data platform operations, ensuring fault-tolerant replication, TLS, installation, backups, and more. You will also provide domain-specific expertise on data systems to other teams within Canonical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation solutions for data platforms
  • Ensure fault-tolerant replication and data integrity
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure features for data platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in big data and cloud computing

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of big data technologies, including distributed event-stores and parallel computing frameworks
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
