Head of Global Supplier Quality Assurance Development

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Global Supplier Quality Assurance Development team. As the Head of Global Supplier Quality Assurance Development, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of purchased parts and developing strategies to improve supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Global Supplier Quality Assurance Development team to ensure the quality of purchased parts and develop strategies to improve supplier performance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Project Purchasing, Commodity Purchasing, Development, and Plants, to ensure supplier quality performance meets customer expectations.
- Represent the Quality Assurance function in sourcing decisions and negotiate quality agreements with suppliers.
- Plan, perform, and monitor supplier process audits and assessments to ensure compliance with VDA 6.3 and other relevant standards.
- Develop and implement quality strategies for supplied parts, including the use of quality methods and tools such as FMEA, APQP, and SPC.
- Collaborate with teams to develop supplier strategies and quality strategies for supplied parts.
- Prepare, follow-up, and wrap up quality agreements with suppliers.
- Conduct supplier visits and meetings, including domestic and international travel as required.
- Internal and external reporting, including related activities.
- Collaborate in projects and document and present results.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or similar.
- Technical background and deep understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies for metal.
- At least five years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Previous experience in the Automotive sector will be an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of IT tools, including MS Office and SAP R3.
- Competency in quality methods and tools, including TS 16949, Problem Solving, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and GD&T.
- Commercial knowledge.
- Leadership skills and experience in leading intercultural teams.
- Strong character, leading and authority skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- C1 level of English is required. Spanish or German will be valued.
