About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Global Supplier Quality Assurance Development team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of purchased parts and developing strategies to improve supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Quality Management: Lead and manage the Supplier Quality of BU4 global prior SOP (SQA-D) to ensure the release of supplied purchase parts according to specification.
  • Quality Planning and Assurance: Plan and assure the quality of purchased parts applying quality methods and tools, including FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
  • Interface and Collaboration: Interface with Project Purchasing, Commodity Purchasing, Development, Plants, and other preventive BU4 departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate the BU4 global SQA-D & SQA-P teams to ensure Supplier Quality performance meets all customer expectations and excellence.
  • Supplier Development: Represent SQA in sourcing decisions for BU4 SQA-D/-P and plan, perform, and monitor supplier process audits according to VDA 6.3 and/or supplier assessments.
  • Problem Solving and Escalation: Manage first and second-level escalation with suppliers before and after SOP and track problem-solving activities for escalation level 2 and higher.
  • Quality Strategies: Contribute to the development of supplier strategies and quality strategies for supplied parts in collaboration with purchasing, project teams, plants, and central functions.
  • Quality Agreements and Reporting: Prepare, follow-up, and wrap up quality agreements with suppliers and provide internal and external reporting.
  • Travel and Collaboration: Conduct supplier visits/meetings, including domestic and international travel as required, and collaborate in projects and documentation.
About You

We are looking for a professional with a strong background in quality assurance and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies for metal. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Engineering degree or similar
  • Technical background and deep understanding of manufacturing processes & technologies for metal
  • At least five years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Advanced Knowledge of IT Tools (MS Office & SAP R3)
  • Competency in Quality methods and tools (TS 16949, Problem Solving, FMEA, SPC, MSA, GD)
  • Commercial knowledge
  • Leadership skills and experience in leading intracultural teams
  • Strong character, leading & authority skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • C1 level of English is required. Spanish or German will be valued
