Job Title: Head of Global Supplier Quality Assurance Development BU4

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Supplier Quality of BU4 global prior SOP (SQA-D). Your primary objective will be to ensure the release of supplied purchase parts (quality and quantity) according to specification by coordinating SQA tasks as defined in SQA RASIC. This includes APQP for purchased parts and supplier development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and assure quality of purchased parts applying quality methods and tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, etc.).
  • Interface with Project Purchasing, Commodity Purchasing, Development, Plants, and other preventive BU4 departments.
  • Coordinate BU4 global SQA-D & SQA-P teams to ensure Supplier Quality performance meets all customer expectations and excellence (external and internal customers, plants).
  • Represent SQA in sourcing decisions for BU4 SQA-D/-P.
  • Plan, perform, and monitor supplier process audits according to VDA 6.3 and/or supplier assessments - define development actions (audits, PPAP, etc.).
  • First and second-level escalation management with suppliers before and after SOP.
  • Problem-solving tracking for escalation level 2 and higher according to Escalation guideline.
  • Active contribution in teams to develop supplier strategies (teamwork with purchasing, project teams, plants, and central functions and for VA/VE activities).

  • Preparation, follow-up, and wrap-up of quality agreements with suppliers.
  • Supplier visits/meetings (including domestic and international travel as required).
  • Internal and external reporting including related activities.
  • Collaboration in projects and documentation & presentation of results.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree or similar.
  • Technical background and deep understanding of manufacturing processes & technologies for metal.
  • At least five years of professional experience in a similar position. Previous experience in the Automotive sector will be an asset.
  • Advanced Knowledge of IT Tools (MS Office & SAP R3).
  • Competency in Quality methods and tools (TS 16949, Problem Solving, FMEA, SPC, MSA, GD).
  • Commercial knowledge.
  • Leadership skills and experience in leading intracultural teams.
  • Strong character, leading & authority skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • C1 level of English is required. Spanish or German will be valued.
