Job Summary
Expeditors is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our Air Department as an Air Import Agent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Track and trace Air Import files as required, utilizing our operating system to ensure efficient data entry and management.
- Collaborate with customers to arrange international shipments, meeting customer service standards and ensuring timely delivery of freight.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including airlines, trucking companies, and other service providers.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as external government regulations and customer requirements.
- Identify areas for improved efficiency and implement process improvements to enhance overall performance.
- Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and company standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 2 years of related experience and/or practices, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of air documentation process and ability to interpret regulations.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn our operating system.
- IATA certification is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required.
