Management Accountant Job Description

Our Team and Mission

The Workshop, a leading innovator in gaming, betting, and fintech solutions, seeks a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our cross-functional team. As a key member of our financial operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company's financial activities are in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS principles.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including banking, payables, and receivables
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts to inform business decisions
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns to local tax authorities
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts in multi-currency ledgers
  • Lead monthly balance sheet reviews, identifying areas for improvement
  • Process accounts receivable, including sales invoicing and credit control
  • Support local audits, both internal and external
  • Pursue process efficiencies and best practices

Your Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Experience with MS D365, preferably
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or professional accounting designation
