Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Contract Specialist to join our Payments legal team at Amadeus.

About the Role

This is a senior specialist role that requires expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts with customers and partners. As a key member of the Payments legal team, you will provide critical support to Outpayce and Amadeus affiliates by analyzing applicable laws and regulations and escalating issues as required. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating contract amendments and ancillary documents;
  • Analyzing executed contracts and providing advice on their implications;
  • Raising awareness of post-contract signature obligations and ensuring adequate visibility for these tasks;
  • Supporting document production and collaborating with internal teams to meet deadlines;
  • Ensuring customer communications align with contractual clauses and legal obligations;
  • Participating in and controlling commercial pipeline requests and prioritizing tasks;
  • Developing and implementing legal department policies to ensure best practices;
  • Maintaining detailed checklists of contractual obligations and coordinating tasks between Payments Legal and other business units and departments.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must hold a University Degree in law and have at least 2-3 years of PQE experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house role. You should be well organized, resilient, proactive, and able to seek out information from various sources. Strong experience in drafting contracts autonomously is essential, as is fluency in written and spoken English with professional experience working in English and drafting and negotiating contracts in English. Knowledge of English law concepts is an advantage, while knowledge of the Payments industry is a plus but not required. Spanish is considered a plus but not required.
