At Leica Biosystems, we are committed to advancing cancer diagnostics and improving lives. As a Digital Pathology Application Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering winning Informatics & Workflow based solutions that enhance customer workflow and help them achieve their goals.

This role requires expertise in integrating key applications and deploying Informatics solutions for smooth customer project deployment. You will be responsible for providing Informatics & Workflow expertise to win complex projects in the anatomical pathology (AP) market, with a focus on Digital Pathology, Specimen Tracking and Workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy standard work tools to drive opportunities through the funnel by leading Need Finding, Current/Future State Analysis, Solution Design and presentation to internal and external customer stakeholders.
  • Audit customer's IT ecosystem and advise on necessary improvements and change steps to adopt the customer's desired solution.
  • Obtain buy-in from important customer IT stakeholders and present the Informatics component of the solution, handling technical objections and clarifications.
  • Explain and describe to non-IT versed Leica and customer stakeholders how the Informatics component of the configuration contributes to achieving the customer solution.
  • Explain and describe to clinical stakeholders how the workflow component of the solution archives the customer's goals and objectives.
  • Plan, present and/or demonstrate hardware/software applications and workflow elements to customers during sales meetings early in the sales process to build customer follow ship and engagement at critical stages.

Essential Requirements:

  • University and/or professional qualification around IT & Informatics, Pathology, Histology, Biomedical Science and/or Imaging, or software applications.
  • Successful track record designing and selling informatics-based solutions in hospital/lab environment.
  • Knowledge of Mirth, HL7 bidirectional and unidirectional LIS integration.
  • Previous experience with histology equipment and laboratory processes.
  • Fluency in English – Spanish.
  • Portuguese and regional Iberian language would be a plus.
