About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Designer to join our team at Alstom Gruppe. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions for our train control signalling system.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the application design and development of train control signalling solutions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop subsystem requirements and designs
- Implement software design, including unit tests to verify software correctness and completeness
- Coordinate peer reviews of software development artefacts and participate in peer reviews requested by others
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 3-5 years' experience developing software, preferably in the rail transportation industry
- Good knowledge of software development principles and object-oriented design
- Experience with software implementation (.NET, Visual Basic, Visual C++, C/C++) and software development tools (Eclipse, Git, GitLab, Gerrit, DOORS, Jenkins)
- Availability to work night shifts and weekends (occasionally) and occasional travel required
