Clinical Operations Manager

As a Clinical Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in bringing our mission to life by providing end-to-end support for clinical trials from study start-up to monitoring and close-out. Our global Clinical Operations team provides support for commercial and government contracts, helping clients define and develop clinical programs, minimize delays, and execute high-quality, cost-efficient clinical studies.
About the RoleWe're seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to oversee daily line management responsibilities of the assigned team in Madrid, Barcelona, or Sevilla. As a positive leadership and professional role model, you'll inspire and motivate our ambitious and diverse clinical operations staff. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and inspiring staff, providing coaching, mentorship, and clear work direction to achieve exceptional results.
- Conducting regular performance appraisals and career discussions, fostering employee career development.
- Interviewing, recruiting, and selecting top talent, ensuring a seamless induction and orientation process for new employees.
- Maintaining up-to-date staff CVs, training records, position profiles, and experience profiles, ensuring accuracy in timesheets and expense reports.
- Optimizing project operations by supporting allocation activities in line with local resourcing processes and collaborating with project managers and clinical team managers.
- Delivering comprehensive training on Working Practice Documents (WPDs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), local requirements, and other critical subjects impacting clinical operations.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in clinical operations or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
