Job Description

We are seeking an Energy Storage Project Development Manager to join our team in Spain. As a key member of our Energy Storage department, you will be responsible for developing utility-scale battery storage projects from concept to completion.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing utility-scale battery storage projects, including collaboration with external development entities
  • Ensuring follow-up of stakeholders, such as grid operators, local authorities, landowners, and the wider public
  • Conducting high-level site analysis and supporting due diligence processes
  • Following up on regulatory changes and market reforms concerning battery storage in Spain
  • Cultivating interfaces with external partners, REDEN Iberia, and REDEN Group support functions
  • Preparing and owning relevant documents within REDEN group and external stakeholders

This position requires national and international business trips.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in engineering, environmental science, or urbanism, and at least 5 years of experience in developing renewables projects in Spain or at least 2 years in developing BESS projects. You should have a good knowledge of the local development process, local regulations, and call for tenders' mechanisms. Knowledge of energy markets and BESS revenue streams is also appreciated.

You should be fluent in Spanish and English, have good communication and negotiation skills, and be able to work in a diverse team across several locations. Strong entrepreneurial skills with a result-oriented approach are also required.
