Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Energy Storage Project Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Energy Storage department, you will be responsible for developing utility-scale battery storage projects, including hybridized and standalone BESS, until the Ready-to-Build milestone.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop utility-scale battery storage projects until Ready-to-Build milestone, including management of collaboration with external development entities.
- Ensure follow-up of stakeholders of the project, such as grid operators, local authorities, landowners, and the wider public, as part of the project development process.
- Conduct high-level site analysis and support in due diligence processes of projects and actively participate in projects portfolio acquisition.
- Follow-up regularly the regulatory changes and market reforms concerning battery storage in Spain.
- Cultivate the interface with external partners, REDEN Iberia, and REDEN Group support functions.
- Own and prepare all relevant documents within REDEN group and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master degree in engineering, environmental science, or urbanism.
- At least 5 years of experience in developing renewables projects in Spain or at least 2 years in developing BESS projects, ideally focused on permitting and grid applications.
- Good knowledge of the local development process, local regulations, and call for tenders' mechanisms.
- Good understanding of grid connection permitting.
- Knowledge of energy markets and BESS revenue streams.
- Fluent level in Spanish and English.
- Good communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a diverse team across several locations.
- Strong entrepreneurial skills with a result-oriented approach.
