About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and motivated Head of Commercial to join our dynamic team based in Palma. As a key member of our commercial team, you will work closely with the Commercial Director to implement our company's strategy and drive growth and expansion.
Main Responsibilities- Commercial Strategy Development: Identify and lead the acquisition of new sales channels and commercial opportunities, in coordination with the Commercial Director.
- Commercial Budgeting: Lead the elaboration of the commercial budget across all markets, together with the Commercial Director, on a yearly/quarterly basis.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate Commercial activities performance and prepare reports for senior management and clients.
- Operational Efficiency: Drive operational and cost efficiencies by identifying and streamlining processes and further developing technology.
- Strategic Partnerships: Partner and collaborate with cross-country teams to develop, drive, and implement a mid/long-term strategic commercial plan aligned with company business objectives.
- Product Development: Develop and enhance products, portfolios, and services by sharing best practice and leading innovation.
- Industry Engagement: Participate in national and international industry events, networking events, and workshops.
- Training and Development: Lead the preparation and execution of workshops and colleagues' training.
- Acquisition Strategy: Lead and define acquisition strategy and scouting trips, and host clients where relevant and appropriate.
- Commercial Experience: Minimum 10 years working in a commercial, contracting, or product management position.
- Education: Degree in Tourism or Business Administration.
- Leadership Skills: Entrepreneurial mindset and great leadership skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent sales, communication, and presentation capabilities with strong relational and persuasion skills.
- Team Player: Highly motivated, pro-active team player with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work and interact in a multinational and multicultural environment.
- Flexibility: Flexibility with disposition to travel.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical thinking with a focus on understanding and responding to key business indicators and competitive trends.
- Language Skills: Fluent written and oral communication skills in English, additional languages will be a plus.
